I wish I could sing
The songs that I love
In a beautiful tone.
But I’m thankful for others
Who lend their voices
So I can hear music.
I wish I could dance
And show my emotions
With freedom and flow.
But while I flail and flop
Others move gracefully
Showing me their hearts.
If only I could plant
A seed in the earth
And bring it to bloom.
But thank you to those
With the wondrous skill
To nurture new life.
I wish I could see
The promise of a sunrise
At the end of each day.
But I know each morning
A new one is created
To stand in awe of.
I want to always listen
When you speak
And hear what you need to say.
You’ve adopted my troubles
And held my hand
Since we became friends.
I wish I could live
A life without sin
Or even just one day.
But because Jesus died
For this lowly man
I’m still made pure as snow.
We live in a world
Where we’re not alone
Where we can be grateful for others.
The singers can sing
And the dancers can dance
And life can be complete
